The RDAA is a professional association representing Registered Dietitians across Alberta. We support dietitians through professional development, advocacy, networking, and access to valuable tools and resources. Our mission is to advance the profession and improve the nutritional health of Albertans.
No. The College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA) is the regulatory body that licenses and governs Registered Dietitians to protect the public. RDAA is a professional association focused on supporting and advocating for dietitians, not regulating them.
Membership is open to Registered Dietitians practicing or residing in Alberta, as well as students, interns, new graduates, and retired or non-practicing professionals. Others who want to support the RDAA but are not dietitians are eligible to join as well.
Joining is easy. Visit our membership page, choose the membership category that applies to you, complete the registration form, and submit payment securely online.
RDAA members enjoy access to continuing education opportunities, professional networking, advocacy efforts, exclusive resources, job postings, and leadership opportunities. Learn more on our Member Benefits page.
Membership is valid for one year, typically from July 1- June 30. Renewal information is sent out in advance.
RDAA does not provide individual nutrition counseling, but we can connect you with a Registered Dietitian who does. Visit our “Find a Dietitian” page to search for qualified professionals in your area.
You can use our online directory to locate a Registered Dietitian who meets your needs. We list professionals working in various settings, including healthcare, private practice, community health, and more.
We love representing dietitians and provide sound, evidence-based nutrition information to the public through media. Please email us at media@rdaa.ca to get in-touch with our Media Relations team.
